The project is widely accepted for its success. It has adopted unique traffic calming principles which have transformed much of the centre into effective pedestrian-orientated spaces.
Recent stages of the Town Centre Master Plan that King & Campbell have designed which have been implemented include the Town Square at the northern end of Horton Street with frontage to the Hastings River.
