Merewether Ocean Baths to Nobbys Beach has been recognised in the 2021 NSW Planning Institute Australia Awards for Planning Excellence. 

The project received a Commendation award ‘as an excellent example of revitalisation and activation of the Newcastle Coastline’. The project included a 6km long, 4.5 meters wide continuous promenade with associated public spaces, beach access, car parking and revegetation works.

Between 2012 and 2015 King and Campbell were engaged by The City of Newcastle to provide landscape architectural and engineering concept and detailed design services for key sections of the project.
